I suspect it could have something to do with how long until Leo returns, there is a minimum number of weeks he must spend on the LTI list.

Why on earth can't he take Fossie's spot? Kennelly I can understand isn't a LTIL candidate, but where a guy has retired specifically due to injuries? Or has that spot already been taken by someone and I missed it?

Ah, Campbell Heath is out for the Season with an ACL so we can play around with the LTIL until Heath is put on it (that is if he hasn't already).
          Once was, now elsewhere

Can you use a LTI list replacement spot for 2 different players in the one time? So if we have a full season of Fosdike's replacement can we promote a guy then demote him and promote another guy?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Why elevate him at all, if he?s not ready to play??
You never know what will possibly happen in the game/s before he gets a chance, and by then our needs may have changed.

IMO we should have held off on any rookie elevation until the player is ready to play the upcoming match.
Because they want to name him as an emergency.

Leo was named on the LTIL a few weeks ago. I think 8 weeks is the minimum time a player has to be on the LTIL, but I think you can promote a rookie well into that period if you want - ie the minimum time applies to the injured player, not the promoted player.

I'm pleased they've opted for Jesse from a general starry-eyed crush/team balance perspective, but on top of that I think it's for the best for Mike to spend time in the magoos; if he's to offer more than just ruckwork (he certainly seems athletic enough to be able to) then he needs game time, game time, game time and he isn't going to get that in the seniors.

Totally agree,Even playing for the local Balmain Tigers..the standard doesn't matter so much as getting the time in. When he can get 25 kicks a game and take 5 marks and kick 2 goals, handball instinctively, tackle correctly THEN bring him in.
A one dimensional player at AFL level will quickly be found wanting.

Exactly, couldnt agree anymore with what you have said and Stells views as well. He needs constant footy , game time footy week in ,week out
He will be found out big time in the real stuff and he just aint ready for it

If he does all that we have another dean cox on our hands. Ruckmen rarely bring up those stats.

Many ruckmen are quite one dimensional so I doubt that is the concern at this stage and it is more to do with his general kicking and handball, his ability to read the play and stay with his opponent etc.
