No Coverage in WA AGAIN!!!!!!!! / Any radio coverage?

i just going through the broadcast guide, and again Rnd 1 no live coverage of the swans game in WA, foxtel and 10 showing WCE live...

same for bombers and port fans
You would think being RND 1 all games in all states would be shown,

So god knows what time it will come on, and no doubt by then i will know the score...

ABC Sports Lounge is beaming everybody else except the Swans v St Kilda to the rest of the world. Last year we had to watch painful games like Melbourne V Fremantle while the really close and genuine games that were real battles for the top 8 went untelevised internationally. They call this being fair to all teams.I call it being boring and dumb.

We have the same problem in QLD when ever the Lions are playing the same time as Sydney, if Foxtel are showing the game, channel 10 will show the same game, not the game channel ten are showing in other states. Its like oh there in Brisbane so we will only show Brisbane games when there playing. Very frustrating.

It's really no different to when non-Swans fans living in NSW want to watch their team and they are playing the same time as the Swans. Sydney will be on both pay-tv and fta.

TV coverage....

I remember ringing the TV station to complain about the late night replay and the clowns announcing the result before the replay in one of those news updates....they said they did it because of the punters...Really pissed me off.

Living in WA
I'll get Foxtel IQ to record it at 6:30 Sunday morning I think thats when it's being shown
I don't watch any games Saturday for fear of updates only watch DVD's or stuff pre recorded on Fox and definately no e-mail or internet.
Wake up Sunday and the game is waiting on IQ for me
Watch it on the widesceen while having a couple of beers
Hopefully have a win!!!
p.s The only worry is if Fox chop off the end of the game that would piss me off.

Yeah that in my opinion is the most frustrating part of the this new deal for the non Victorian states. Under the first deal, Foxtel would flip with the FTA network so they would show the non home state game, however they quickly realised that it provided no commercial advantage for them and they would be better off going head to head with FTA considering their advantage of no ads during the game.

The key advantage that QLD and NSW have over WA/SA is that Channel 518 is used for the Friday night and Saturday night games on 7 and 10, so we get a few more choices if required.

Not on AM radio, they'll have the Eagles game. Listen to it on AFL Gameday Live, they'd have a link for several broadcasters e.g. 3AW, ABC, SEN, MMM, etc.

From Afl.com click on "Stk v Syd" near the top. This opens Game Day Live with stats, recent plays and links to live radio broadcasts.
