Yep, who needs laxettes with them around?

I am sure I will be corrected, as I have been before, and find out it is all channel 9's fault though.

If you mean AFL Game Day? (Sundays at 10) ... in Canberra, Ben was on early.

Yeah I think it was Gameday and he wasn't on late, but in anycase I am pretty annoyed with Channel 7 today.

They took Foxtel's game into Sydney at 1pm, meaning there was no coverage of the Port game, just the same game on FTA and Foxtel.

I get that they will never show an AFL game leading into their news programs seeing they have been beating 9 for a while now (heck no network would risk it in Sydney), but surely something could have been arranged (i.e Port game starting 30 minutes earlier)

Yes it was game day and it started in Sydney on 7HD at 10.00 and finished at 11.00, the last 10 minutes they payed music during what was probably an ad break in other states and didn't go back to Game DAy. Certanlnly the TV stations are not helping the promotion of AFL in Sydney aldo Channel 10 showing Swans game half hour delay.

I know - 30 minute delay for what reason? I really don't understand it.

That one I'm okay with. It puts the game smack bang in Prime Time and means you're more likely to hook the occassional viewer who doesn't really know what this AFL is but there is nothing else on.

The AFL deliberately plans it's saturday night games for 7:10 so that there can be a 20-30 minute delay. This supposedly increases crowd numbers when the match is played in the same city. Friday night starts at 7:40 so that people have time to get there from work.
