The SFS was built in the late 1980s, basically for rugby league. It became something of a white elephant almost immediately when Sydney decided to bid for the 2000 Olympics, and the much larger stadium at Homebush was built.
Sydney FC (soccer) use it as their home ground.
its also the home ground for the Waratahs & Roosters so its not a complete white elephant.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

If you don't have your package yet (because they've put in a new database system); turn up at the match day office (gates A&B) and they'll get you in.
You'll probably need ID.
Cheers

Annie, I received my email and I have been calling them all morning. After ten minutes, they cut you off. This is a monumental stuff up.And, no, I will not line up to get my tickets along with the 10,000 others waiting for the hat/scarf or whatever. They have lost me and my group. We are members of the SCG anyway and I have loyally paid my thousand bucks a year to support my club.It finishes this year.Comment

The 10,000 others will be lining up for their hats/scarves at a different location to the MATCH DAY OFFICE (which is at Gates A&B). There will be a tent set up for the collection of your goodies.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I'm in the same boat - still yet to receive anything, can't get onto them via phone. Putting in a new database is no excuse, it's pathetic. They managed to take the money quick enough, they should be capable of getting a pack to us. Probably the last year for the missus and I.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

The way people throw around their memberships here has given me a great deal of insight into the mentality of the swinging voters who decide elections. Who would have thought that passion could be so flippant...
Heaven help when the long term downturn in the Swan?s league position is actually confirmed rather than presumed after one game.Comment

Yes, but don't try to absolve the Membership Department of fault here. Members who pay in November shouldn't be waiting until after Round 2 to recieve their packs. I accept that there is a concern with distributing them too early (lost cards, etc) but it shouldn't be so hard for them to be mailed out 2 weeks prior to the opening round at the latest. And in my own experience I've found the Department to be found wanting in terms of communication with members over the past 3 months. While it won't stop me payin every year I'd love to see the department shaken up. It's absolutely woeful from the Customer side.
Granted if you stuff up enough it can cost you more in the long run with the price of temporary contact staff to stuff apologies into envelopes and membership numbers dropping through frustration, etc.
But my point remains, jeez we whinge a lot. As I always say, it would be worse if we lived in Tiger Land - and even they managed to keep the coffers and memberships up considering.Comment
