He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Very good performance from him as the 2nd ruckman, I hope he can continue that against more experienced rucks and hopefully get more opportunity in key positions.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

I thought he was good last week when I saw him in theflesh. He is nimble for a ruckman and bullocks through.

He outclassed Renough who has 10 games to his credit as I heard a million times tonight. White doesn't have that many and outclassed him.

Showed tonight he has potential to develop further into a first class ruckman.

He could even develop into another Goodes type player

He has made such a progression in the off season. Looks a very classy player for us.

Really good game. A big bloke who is prepared to throw his weight around. Will be a very damaging player. And what a contested mark!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

While it may be a little difficult to tell just how good tonight's performance was considering Hawthorn's depleted ruck stocks, his efforts were huge. Plenty of hitouts giving a great contest in the ruck, but I was more impressed by a presence around the ground and the efforts to rove his own ball. Very promising signs and next week should give a good indication of where he's at against a stronger ruck combo of Charman and Leuenberger.

I have always rated Jesse, I have said he just needed to concentrate all the game and he would do well.....smug grin, tightly controlled "toldyuso".

Also, would like to thank Stuey for his part in Jesse's present status.
