    Did anyone else notice......................

Did anyone else notice the reaction of big Baz after Jesse kicked that last goal after the siren at half time? Every other team member of the Swans ran to Jesse to give him support and all Baz did was look down at the ground and lament. He wanted Jesse to kick to him but if Jesse did the siren would of sounded before the mark and no goal would have been scored.

I dunno. Is Baz for the team or for him?

Mate I have been able to look at one B Hall every 2nd quarter since Year Dot & I can tell you these petulant sooks are not uncommon. I recall one in I think 2004 against Essendon where Ryan O'Keefe opted to go for goal rather than past to him in a difficult angle. He then went on to whinge and sook and sake his head indignantly for the next 2-3 minutes as Essendon walzed down the field unhindered.

His attacks on the footy were top class tonight though. A few times even if he didn't catch his man he did enough for himto send a wayward kick forward, meaning the Swans got the ball back.

But why oh why does he insist on playing on when he takes a mark 20-30 metres out? Is it just a brain explosion? Is it not judging how much time he has to get the kick away? Because if we had lost by under a goal tonight I'd have been ROPABLE considering he opted to play on and miss a complete sitter. DON'T DO IT AGAIN BARRY HALL!

Barrice was probably just checking out his black blundstones, to see if they'd keep kicking straight?

          Awful. Clanger of the night.
And although he has been known to reprimand his team mates for not giving him the ball, I think the other stuff was just frustration at being so "well held" without getting any frees.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I think that is probably more accurate than the other comments above.

Does he know Blundstones are no longer made in Australia..his BUY AUSTRAlIAN policy is misguided. He should go back to wearing footy boots.

He was probably still filthy for giving away that 50 on Morton who kicked a goal from it.

The OP makes it sound like Hall was still complaining after White kicked the goal. The TV footage certainly doesn't show that, just a question mark with the arms before White lined up for his shot.

Yeah he definitely wasn't complaining. I was sitting right in front of where it happened. Hall put his arms up to see if White wanted to pass it off, when he said no, Hall stood near the goal line just in case the kick didn't go the distance.

White goaled, then Goodes, McVeigh and Kirk all went up to Hall and gave him a pat on the back in support (because the second 50m penalty - the dodgiest out of the two, was given a couple of minutes before White marked). Hall congratulated White before they went down the tunnel.

Looks like you noticed more being at the game than we did from the tele. Point taken. Hope he has a screamer next week.

Talk about screamers. How was Goodseys last night!!

Triple M commented on Barry being filthy on himself for giving away the 50m free and thereby not feeling he had any part or right to celebrate of the White goal.

They also remarked on how Goodes noticed Bazza's reaction and went over to remind him how important a part of the team he is.

As longas it's constructive in the long term I have no real with Bazza occasionally blowing up. He places great expectations on himself and we probably do as well. I think it shows he gives a damn in his angry big man type way.

BTW: Rossi boots are still made in Aus and there are a few other brands around as well

I was at the game - while mobile telephones are all hi tech they can't get ABC (AM) so the Triple M game call it is. I think you can SEN over the net but I've had hassles doing that.
