Pyke was promoted for Leo so presumably Thornton has taken Heath's spot on the list. With Coney back in Ireland, Murphy injured for half the season himself, and Gilchrist and Orreal resembling stick insects at the moment, Thornton is the only one left with any case to be promoted. So they are not losing much by promoting him now, even if he's not overly close to actually getting a game. Come midway through the season, someone else can be promoted irrespective of a long-term injury.

I feel that this will be a fast and very physical match.Lots of hard tackling and strong body work will be needed against the rejuvenated Lions. It won't be a walk in the park as it was in round 22 last season. Our defence will be under alot of pressure but they have been good so far.LRT played really well last week and hopefully can continue his good form and I will be interested to see how Grundy goes if he does line up at CHB.
Looking forward to this game. Will BBB front up? We just have to wait and see.

Like the interchange, I don't think the emergencies are named in any order. If an emergency player is required it depends on who is out when they decide which emergency to bring in.

But there's no point in running anywhere unless they've got the ball. If Jolly and White dominate the ruck again, the Lions will be in trouble. We also have our fair share of runners (eg Shaw, Malceski, Mattner).

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

The lone Lions guy here. It will be uphill match for us. However I think we the goods to take care of the Swans. A great midfield and a strong forward, we just have to control the game to our liking.

                            Big day tomorrow.

10.30 Funeral for our Gr10 boy who died in a car accident...sadness

                            3.30 Wedding for a long time friend....happiness

7.20 Swans to take me on the usual rollercoaster... happiness/sadnesss/frustration/elation/despair hopefully ending in celebration.

Need a bit of goodstuff after this week.

Bird is rapidly becoming my favourite player so I hope he plays
