    Roos on SEN

Roos was on SEN this morning. Just thought I'd mention some of the things he said.

Pyke still third pick behind Jolly and White and would like to get some more time into him in the reserves. Happy with his progress - had 19 possessions in the reserves and took a couple of excellent grabs. He said he's confident that he wouldn't look out of place in the seniors if required to play.

Micky playing in the reserves this week and all going well, will play against Fremantle.

Currie, Schmidt, Veszpremi, Smith and Laidlaw are all injured and would've all been considered for senior selection if available - that was in response to a text message from a supporter.

We have 27 to pick from this week.

Bagged the Herald Sun for the 'death-row' headline on Terry Wallace.

    Cheers P46.

The paper this morning had 36 available, but you'd hope he knows better, or one of them can't count.

Rocket had a shot at the small minded reporters making headlines for themsleves, on the news last night.

We started the year with 40 on the senior list, lost Kennelly and Fosdike but have promoted Pyke and Thornton. So before injuries, there should be a total pool of 40 available.

Vez, Schmidt, Monty, Playfair, Leo, Heath are the senior listed players who I can remember who are definitely injured. Take off Crouch too, who still doesn't appear on any official injury lists and so would be missed by anyone counting.

Roos is almost certainly discounting those who are not sufficiently match fit to be considered for senior selection:

      MickyO
Smith, who is down as "test" but hasn't played for over a month
Laidlaw, who was down as "test" two weeks ago but didn't play reserves that day
Currie, on the comeback from injury but clearly not fit enough yet
DOK, who clearly needs to get fitter/regain confidence
      Hannebury, back at school?

So that leaves 27, with question marks over Ablett

Currie and Laidlaw aren't listed as injured, so I presume they will be getting a run in Canberra and won't be far away.

Currie has been playing in Canberra, hasn't he? Isn't it more that he's just got a niggle which is preventing him from playing a big enough role to justify senior selection?
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Yeah Currie has been playing reserves just needs to get his fitness up. If he does get fit you'd expect him to be the second ruckman with White playing up forward.
