I'm assuming Thornton is in for Crouch, though he's actually not listed in the Herald Sun injury list.

Wonder if it's for someone other than Crouch. Roos stated in that Fox Sports article that Ablett would be coming in for him. So wondering whoever Thornton's in for, will probably come in for Ablett/Crouch.

      Chookahs to Thornton for Saturday.

Surely it would be Barlow? Or could we spring a surprise?

EDIT: read about Barry Hall. He's another possibility.

According to the article above it seems like it is Thornton for Crouch
Ablett if he gets up for Barlow/Hall?

The AFL.com.au article says Thornton is in for Crouch.

Thornton, who will make his AFL debut after four years on the Swans' list, was preferred for his ability to replace Crouch in the team?s structure, Roos said.

I'm guessing Thornton for Crouch, Ablett for Barlow with Barlow on standby for Ablett.

Yes, good luck to "Krisso" (a much better tag from Roos than "Krissy")- knock 'em dead (legitimately, of course).
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

If Hall goes down, expect Pyke to debut, and White move forward, or Braba to come in, and Barlow move forward.

Also, does anybody else think it's odd that Ablett is an emergency? Surely if he was injured, he wouldn't be named at all? And if he isn't injured, then he must simply be dropped, and based on past comments by Roos (such as "our midfield just doesn't work without him"), that seems unlikely.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Presumably Ablett missed a bit of training in addition to the game after his tragedy, and then was injured after round 2. He must be down on fitness.
