Saturday afternoon home games: your thoughts?

I would be very interested to hear what everyone, those at the ground and those following elsewhere, thinks of the Saturday afternoon games. A 30k turnout is a very impressive number and perhaps we could see more of it in the future.

For me, the day wasn't that important, but I liked the later 2pm start rather than the usual 1pm afternoon starts. I think it gives more time for the casual fan to rock on in after lunch, rather than scrambling to get to the ground.

Definitly would love to see more Saturday afternoon football, if the AFL agrees to it is another matter.

I liked the Saturday afternoon game and the later starting time was ideal
BUT, when preparing the fixture in future, they need to be more aware of other things going on nearby.
The traffic getting to the game, whilst always bad, was abysmal today. The harbour tunnel and eastern distributor were parking lots and it was just as bad going home.

I liked having the game on a Saturday arvo very much. The 2pm start was also good.

A big thumbs up from me. Would be good to have some more of these type of games next year.

New stand looks good. At least half the gound has now moved into this century with it's seating...
Could only be improved by being at Homebush, where I could at least get a Vilis pie and not deal with trying to get through the city.

Arrived in time for the reserves game, so no problems with traffic. Loved the later start and the atmosphere was terrific. I noticed quite a bit of radio and television advertising during the week, which probably helped the crowd numbers.

Whether it's Sat or Sunday, the 2.10 starts are the way to go.

Run the horse races at the SCG during the breaks. Should get three races in during half time.

If the team is losing, just start the races.
