Its a real danger game for the swans as Freo have been roasted in the media this week and Pav was set upon by a jurno on 7 which has been making headlines. I also heard on 6pr (I think) that they will making cds of that interview and giving it to all the players to listen to in there cars to from training. If they are going to breakthrough for a win it is now and if we start poorly again the game could be beyond us

I am picking a pumped up Freo by 30 plus and the down side is I will be there to see

        Danger game?

If we're a serious top 8 team this should in no way be a danger game. Period.

If the team go over there thinking that Fweo are "easy beats", then we're gunna lose the game.

They're coming off a pretty embarassing loss AND they're playing at home.

They should go over there thinking about PERCENTAGE (and how much we need it and therefore play like it, It's a danger game for the swannies if they go over there with the wrong attitude.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure this is going to be Kirk's 200th game. The swans put a high emphasis on milestone games, and if I'm right and it is Kirky's 200th, than the boys will well and truly lift for this game and win by over 10 goals. What odds would you get for the swans to win by this much?

Didn't Paul Kelly play his 200th game against Freo at Subiaco as well?

We lost the game but Captain Courageous was outstanding for us booting 4 goals coming back from an injury layoff (knee)?

Not sure about the Kelly milestone, but I remember Kell making his return from his ACL against Freo in Perth after not being even named as an emergency.

I remember because I was out in the morning and was rushing home to watch it. I turned the radio on to get the first quarter and nearly ran off the road when I heard that Kelly was playing.

                        We were fined from memory.

Yeah it wasn't his 200th, just a few short - his 198th. He took a ripper of mark from memory.

Nope we lost the game. Boom-Tish! (Freo kicked really straight that day IIRC)

Again from memory, I think Kelly's 200th was against West Coast at the SCG.

I was in Katherine in the Nth Territory, taking my daughter to spend the school holidays with my sister who lived there at the time (Air Force base).

I've missed minimal games in the last 25 years, but 2 games I've missed that really hurt are the game above and Kell and Dunks last game in 2002.

It was against West Coast, I remember now, and Glen Jakovich was playing his 200th in the same game. We gave them a hiding from memory.

Yep against Freo at home there was the ripper Kell mark that had the medical staff holding their heads and breaths, hewasnsupposedtodothat! Also the Swans got fined heaps by playing himwithout having him on the list. They felt he had to have a first game back without media attention and were prepared to pay the price. His grin was worth it alone.

Great to watch, but I think we did not win that one.

Don't know if we will take the prize easily this time - we have a lot of kids travelling to this one.
