I don't want to advocate gambling but did anyone else take advantage of the good odds on the Swans offered for the game against Carlton?
On TAB Sportsbet, Carlton was $1.65 favourites - the Swans were $2.15 to win and $3.15 to win by more than 15.5 points. I know we had injuries but the game was on our ground and we were playing against a team with one forward and a suspect defence. Much of the Carlton hype revolved around their midfield but I think we've proven over the last few years that we can handle most teams that are strong in that area. I know that betting odds only reflect "where the money is going" but I couldn't believe that punters preferred Carlton over us.
I couldn't resist a small wager on the Bloods to win by more than 15.5 points.
