Maybe Goodes, but he had his hands full with Tarrant.
The rest are midgets, even compared to Ablett.
Craig Bolton was an option. Maybe it was better to defend in the middle than have B2's opponent getting it silver service as the Pav carved us up in the first quarter. LRT would have been a better option than NOG. He is mobile and could have occasionally gone third man up as Jolly has gone to Gowings. Even moneybags if all else failed. He has the motor and could probably match Pav for pace and as well as his pay packet. They could have discussed investments whilst resting on the forward line. There were options but Roosey coaches like a Prussian general. To the plan. His only weakness is he is too cautious to make a reactive move. Perhaps it indicates faith in the game plan which works most of the time. On Saturday he was like a few of the players. Too slow.

B2 may have been an option, albeit out side the plan, but he may have been way out of his comfort zone. Same for LRT.
But it was a bit of a david and goliath out there.

Why not Barlow on Pav when in the middle? He'd get carved up, but Luke was carved up for a fair while and they stuck with that. There may be value for Ed to learn from playing on Pav, I'm not sure how much there was for Luke.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

He's great player. The option may be to buy him. Just like Plugger. He's out of contract and patience. We will be cashed up when Big Beamish takes the glove, Leo hops off and Magic finally gives it away. Plus the prospect of playing alongside the Bevantor would be hard to resist. So get off your arse Dick and start negotiating 9at the end of his contract of course).

yeah but can Roos effectively add a "y" to the end of Pavlich's name, like he does with 90% of the team? "Pavlichy's" sound like a some kind of skin condition.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Good point. A newbie getting flogged, may learn some valuable lessons.

no no no - it has to be the surname - he cant do it with LRT because the name would be Lewy Roberty-Thompsony and that is just silly and way too hard to say after 20 beers.

In all seriousness though - If we lose 4 this year (Barry, Hall, Crouch & Magic) then we will have a few $$$ to play with (he wont come cheap, but then again with the GFC the way it is he might be a red spot special)- Pavlichy might finally get jack of Freo and head East!

Thats why LRT is always Lewy.

Maybe stella can show him some man love, to entice him to the Big Smoke.

I can't agree with that Primmy. Benny did his job, week in, week out. He was a workhose. Ablett is a donkey and is taking up a position that I'm sure one of the reserves would love to have.

I agree, we all quickly forgot Leapers clanger, kicking out of defence directly to Cox. He needed to take 'that mark' or he would of been remembered in an entirely different light.
As for Luke....bigger and browner....but unfortunately hasn't got any better. I always thought he would get better and better with age....wrong again, he's stagnated.
