Last year I said I thought Marty was the pickup of the season, many scoffed, citing Mr Judd, but bugger him, didn't we control him the other week? No Marty is the man for me, and Scott, where's that old avatarof yours, time to break it out again, superMarty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or that tackle may represent the difference between the Swans getting a priority pick in the 2011 draft, or the 2012 drafts
Cardinal, that is just a shocking comment, do you want us to start tanking now? we're sitting in the 8, in 7th spot!!!!

I am 99% certain that in his mind he was quickly thinking "I'm certain that a hard running backman will be available in that draft, can't have that- I want to have negotiating room on my final contract".

I can't believe we've got this far without someone giving a nod to former greats? It was the biggest tackle to see at the SCG since Capper's short shorts.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I will remember THAT tackle for a long time.So pleased it resulted in a goal for us as it literally gave us a two goal turn around.
I often get mixed up with Mattner and Grundy. They are similar in size, both are dark haired and often unshaven and their second number on their jumpers is 9 ?

very true, I often get them mixed up too, as have a few commentators I've noticed.

Wubbish. Marty has a narrow head and runs bent. Reg has a block head and is not much of a runner.

They are still quite easy to mix up. They just look similar, especially with their similar numbers.

But then you probably don't check their legs the way Primmy does.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
