I thought Pyke displayed enough to get another game.

As for White, needs a couple of weeks in the ressies getting full games for fitness and form. With Hall and MOL back in the side he would only be getting limited game time and not resting forward.

This must be seen as a true test of our depth and skill level.
We have not won at Geelong for 10 years even with more experienced teams so we need everyone to "have a go".

Good luck to Mike in his second game. A bigger test in a foreign land.

I'm keen for Mike to do well, it's all very exciting- but do you honestly think that, hype aside, he did more than Jesse's been doing all year? Mike had 4 disposals and 11 hitouts, in Jesse's last outing he had 6 and 12 (and a goal). Stats don't say it all, and you're right that Jesse may see less time n the forward line thanks to the return of Michael and Barry; but I'd still argue that if we're looking just for the handful of touches and a dozen hitouts then investing time in Jesse may have been the right go.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I don't think White was sick at all tbh. I think he was just dropped.

Does anyone else get a weird feeling in their pants over the fact that Meredith and Thornton continue to get a game ahead of Ablett?
                    Or is that just me?....

No I don't think he did more than White and in all honesty White would be better vaule with the limited game time, but a decision like this is not just about now.

White is young and needs game time, he aint going to get much time on the ground if he is solely playing as second ruckman so all going to plan you should see him rotated through the reserves over the year to give him a chance to maintain fitness and form.

The second benefit is that Pyke is given some game time early, to help his development and to make sure we at least have another back-up.

I would suggest that White will be back next week for a 4 week run and then rested and maybe Curry will be given a couple of weeks in the seniors (if ready) to give White another spell in the ressies to run out a game.

It will do nothing for White, for him to be playing 5 to 7 minutes a quarter for an entire year.

                              Ablett has been injured though.

It remains to be seen if they will continue to get a game whilst Ablett is fit and available, but they are making every post a winner and good luck to them.
