Definitely raised a chuckle. And may the force be with them.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

            I like this part:

"Mongrel Punter understands that incense use became rife at the club following the Swans 2005 premiership win.

The football club has always denied an unconfirmed report that a high-profile premiership player (with initials ND) slipped into a state of nirvana on a football trip two years ago and following the incident was unable to chase or tackle. The player has since been delisted."

Big Bob i never put the boot in to a bloke who is down and out, as is Davo and his dwindling band of deluded supporters. Very poor form indeed. But really an exception has to be made. Everyone (and that includes the boot studder at Punt Road, Eddy MacGuire's PA, blind freddy and the everyman and his dog) in football knew that Davis was soft, wouldn't tackle and was easily exploited by defenders. But apparently not some on this site. Never have so many key strokes (and strokes) been wasted in the defense of the most patently unwilling couldn't be arsed footballer. But one thing about the typical Davophobe. They can always take a a bit of a laugh about the little champ.

                  Got me excited for nothing.

                  Scandal. Indeed.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
