Malceski back to the HB line

This is what he does - very, very well.
That's why I say back to the HB line. Doesn't have to worry about getting the footy. Liz's comments regarding the reco make it seem like a very bad year for him to move to the midfield. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Your opinion is based solely on reputation and not current form. Other than the Hawks game Malceski's form has been utter crap so far this year. His disposal is appalling and becoming a liability. He should be dropped.Cmon u guys Melcho is a gun he is just feeling his way back into the side, and imo he will play a midfield role more than as a back man.He has even said to me face to face that he would prefer to play midfield than back.We need pin point accurace into the forwrd 50 and he is that and then some.Occupational hazards:

Roos' take on what is "wrong" with the Eski.
Quick-fix slows down Malceski - RFNews - realfooty.com.au
It does seem to take most players a good 12 months to get back to their best, even after just one reco. The psychological impact of having two must surely be even tougher.
That raking left foot bullet was just about my favourite thing about watching the Swans so I am desperately hoping he can rediscover his touch at some point, even if it's not this season.Comment

I was reading the article thinking everything in here points to a spell in the twos...till I got to the last paragraph.Roos' take on what is "wrong" with the Eski.

Today's hot-button issues re the Swans: brought to you by RWO first!
Anyone who saw the print version of the article would have laboured under no misapprehension: the huge headline, "Roos keeps faith with Malceski - and his op" ain't used for someone who's about to be dumped.Comment

Would love to see him back to his best this year, but in all honesty after two reco's it is going to take time for him to get his confidence back.
We know he has the skills and his questionable decision making at present can be attributed directly to his confidence.
Probably should be spending some time in the two's just to @@@@@ up his confidence and touch but in all honesty there is no one at this stage due to injury pushing for his spot other than Nick Smith or Laidlaw who is still injured?
