undy, I believe u were the original poster to flag that site.

If u were, a BIG thank you

I now no longer have to stay up late to watch Footy Classified if I'm tired, don't have to worry about missing Before the Bounce because the missus wants a quickie* before the Friday night game etc. etc. etc.

I can download these shows from that site (all at 150+kb/s) in less than an hour and watch them at my leisure.

        Cheers.

Did I miss the memo on fr333dom? I don't see any AFL matches on their site anymore.

Sadly, there appears to be no actual game at this stage. 6 of last w/e's games are up, but not us.

We're always the last game up, is it because we usually play on Saturday night/Sunday or is it just that no one cares?

It takes me over 14 hours!!! How come you can get it done so quickly. Please take into account I am an IT muddler.(I have broadband..not sure of the speed)

Plus I couldn't watch the Carlton game once I downloaded it as it had a thingy attachment which the computer or whatever didn't like.

Can anyone help an old codger in distress.

The carlton problem could probably be fixed with VLC media player OR K-lite - the two best video players going around, designed for ease of use.

VLC: VLC media player - Open Source Multimedia Framework and Player
K-Lite: Free-Codecs.com : Download K-Lite Codec Pack 4.8.5 FULL, K-Lite Codec Pack 4.8.5 STANDARD, K-Lite Codec Pack 4.8.5 BASIC : K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools

That should avoid most player issues unless there is something really wrong with the file itself.

As for the download speed, it could be anything. Maybe the peers (uploaders) who have fast connections aren't online when you're trying to download it. Maybe you have too many objects you are trying to download at once and they are sharing your bandwidth, or you are using another program (like Internet Explorer) which is taking up bandwidth instead. About all you can do to ensure you have a good speed is to make sure you aren't capping your download speeds (right-click file as it is downloading, there will be a menu with the option "max download speed" or similar) and not using the internet when your client is open. Most torrent software automatically detects the best system settings when it is installed/started, so I shouldn't think there is much you can do there to speed up your connection.

Will depend on your broadband speed first, then on all those wretched settings in the program you use to manage your downloads (such as Vuze, Utorrent BitTorrent etc) and then of course if lots of people are seeding (or sharing) or only one and the settings they have in their program for speed of uploading the file. Then if anyone else in the house are using the internet . Any avi file should work ok but that depends what program you use on your pc to open and play files and then if its a zip file you have to unzip it first. Sometimes the best thing to do is find someone under the age of 16 to set it all up for you. But this really is the best site for AFL torrents.

I was under the impression that Limewire was a site to get files, not a client?

Anyway, my suggestion is to download uTorrent. I've found it extremely easy to setup, much more user friendly than Azureus.

Good luck with it, off to bed now, a 4:20 alarm is beckoning.
