    Dempster ready to return

Good to see a Swans' premiership hero ready to make a comeback from his knee reconstruction - even though he now plays elsewhere.
9 months is a pretty good rehab, good luck to Sean Dempster.

Sean Dempster set to return for St Kilda | Herald Sun

ST KILDA'S healthy player stocks are brimming to overflow, with versatile Sean Dempster returning from major knee surgery this weekend. Dempster is expected to get the go-ahead to start a comeback with VFL affiliate Sandringham, his first appearance since rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in the final home-and-away round against Essendon last season.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

    Good luck to him!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Don't see it happening for a while based on their performances so far, but never say never.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yeah good luck to him. Always got a soft spot for former Swans players who have been moved on for one reason or another.
Coincidental that I was in Warrnambool last week and was talking to a St Kilda supporter and asked him about what had happened to Dempster. He thought Dempster had been delisted! I said that I thought he was injured but hadn't heard anything about his progress.
          Thanks for providing this update.

That shows just how stupid StKilda supporters are.

Because they're in Warrnambool? Come on now, you can't include all of them in a sweeping comment about one person's mistake (and clearly we've had at least one Swans fan there too!).

LOL, nothing wrong with Warrnambool, the locals can't be that silly, they know how to spell it!

In fairness to the St Kilda supporters you don't always know what the latest is with players on long term injury lists. We've had a few but the one that seems to stick in my mind was Stephen Tingay: if memory serves me correctly no-one seemed to know what was going on with him. (BTW I saw stinga on an AFL show recently...can't remember which....he's now got some sort of a gym instructor position with one of the AFL clubs)
