If we kick straight we win?

I realise that is a bit simplistic but the last few games (exclude the poor final) against the doggies they have shot a lot straighter than us.
    16.9 (106) 2008 (MCG) 9.11 (69)
    25 scoring shots to 20

    17.9 (113) 2008 (Manuka Oval) 14.13 (97)
    26 scoring shots to 27

    18.2 (112) 2008 (SCG) 14.10 (94)
    20 scoring shots to 24

    8.5 (57) 2007 (Manuka Oval) 15.10 (100)
13 scoring shots to 25 woohoo!

So are we not going through the corridor against the Dogs? Are we afraid of their rebound that much that we play too wide and end up taking shots from the pocket?
Are we then getting hurt down the middle because if/when we turn it over, the Dogs have a clear run down the middle and can shoot for goal from better angles?
I can't remember the games to answer my questions that is why I am putting it to the collective RWO memory.

I realise that 18.2 is ridiculous and won't get repeated for a long time (at least against us).

in general kicking more goals than the opposition -- gives the best chance of marching onward to Victory!

18.2 was ridiculous! Reminded me of that game against Essendon when they started with 10.0 or 11.1 or something stupid like that.

We know how Port felt in the first quater last weekend.

I just hope that if Moore gets the ball anywhere near the goals he handballs to someone who can kick straight like.............um.........ummm......
MacVeigh . I nearly said Thorton but he can't make the side despite being better than Ablett in nearly every category.
