Sadly I was expecting more from that little post.
At the very least I had hoped that someone had come out to let everyone know that a comedy show is very different to an AFL player who clearly was making a political stance - or something like that

Oh well, time for a shower and then probably I'll have to do some work today.
    Damn it's cold though.
My bed was very very warm this morning.

what I dont get is that people (the media particularly) getting all hyped up about Cousins flipping the bird, yet the very same TV channel broadcasts drama shows which show hours of very graphic murder & assault scenes every night, so whats worse, a bloke sticking up his middle finger at a TV camera or graphic violence night after night? I couldnt give a toss of what Cousins did - but did anyone notice that the camera actually followed him - it wasnt just a fixed camera - so if there is finger pointing to be done - how about the person operating the camera coping some flack as well? there are far worse things going on the world to worry about than the one fingered salute.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I noticed that and wondered the same thing.

I don't have trime to look, but as the AFL made the announcement, I assume it's on the AFL website.

There were numerous news items on the radio and the tv last week about it.

Two more AFL players have joined the group of footballers who sit one positive test away from being suspended for up to 18 games for illicit drug use.

Those positive tests comprised 11 players - nine caught for the first time, one who tested positive twice in the year spanning February 2008 to February 2009, and another who tested positive a second time having also done so over the previous three years.

The two players who recorded their second failed test took to seven the number of footballers across the league sitting on two strikes, who will be named and called before the tribunal if they notch a third positive test.

Another player twice tested positive between 2005-09, but is no longer playing.
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

                Thanks guys.

As Blind Barry said today in his column ... if you've been busted once, why the @@@@ would you go back and do it again. (I'm paraphrasing.)

Stop indulging bad apples ... give them two strikes

You'd think Cousins would be a salutary lesson for young footballers. Become an ice addict, end up at Richmond.

                    Well he gave the salute.

Big deal, he gave the finger to a camera he knew was not being fed into a live broadcast. Channel 10 showed it - I expect it was them he was giving the bird. Channel 10 chose to broadcast it, channel 10 should cop the fine.

He's playing well tonight. Can't dispute his football talent.

And I agree, who really cares?
