Well - it was channel seven covering - easily the worst, most amateurish of the three broadcasters. Commetti is getting infected by the nonsense (most definitely not delicious) comments around him! His "Commetti isms" come across as very forced and rarely funny these days. He won't be releasing any more books of em, that's for sure!

They actually missed the first bounce in a game this year while blathering on with pre-game nonsense.

Listening to the commentary, you'd think they were the first team ever to overcome a few injuries to win a game. Commentators conveniently ignored the fact their injuries were ably covered by Hendrie, Vozzo and whoever umpie #3 was! And they were happy to lay the boot into Hally, even though they acknowledged he was being held in the first contest, and that he didn't swear at the umpie.

That's because he doesn't disclose his injuries to the public

Is it possible that the author of the injury list mixed up Crouch & Buchanan?

(I'm sure I saw Crouch listed somewhere else with knee injury)

Does anyone here have information on Playfair's injury apart from what is reported on the Swans web site or on the injury list here? He has been on the injury list since last year. Effectively the playing list has been 5 down all year viz; Fosdike, Kennelly, Barry, Schmidt & Playfair, (and you can throw in Coney as a non starter and youngster Heath that makes 7)

There was an article in one of the two Melbourne dailies (The Age I think) late last week confirming he is out for the season and in which he indicates he has 6 months to save his career.

If you do a search on Real Footy you should find the article as it is recent. (Unless it was in the Hun, in which case you might struggle to find it on RF!!)

It was in the Herald I think? Definitely read it in the weekend papers so SMH or Aussie.

I think it was 7 that in a recent broadcast had 5mins of ads, then cut to some talking head in the studio spouting crap, and then had him throw to the game 2 mins into the 3rd qr!!! Bizarre.
