    Anyone hear Walls' comment?

During the Richmond V West Coast match, in regards to a 50 that wasn't paid in the 2nd quater?

Apparently they stopped paying those types of 50's after round 9. Wtf? What round was it last week?

Yeah, but it was a different type of 50m penalty. Barry Hall wasn't involved.

I thought he was going to say that Kerr should have a run in the ruck to get him involved!

He would have, but Kerr's arms are too short...

I think it was late contact on the marking player, it was a hard hit as well.
Is that the one (that should have been 50) we're talking about?

Completely different incident to the Hall one. I like to bag Walls as much as anybody, and I think Hall was very harshly done by because Roughead clearly initiated contact, but there is a big difference between late contact after a mark and actively putting somebody down well after the free had been paid. One was for late contact, the other was for off-the-ball contact.

Roughead actively put himself down, so my opinion that Walls is a tool still stands.

Yes, but my point is that the nature of the potential 50 metre penalties are different. The "coming into a contest late" 50 has disappeared recently, and none of Hall's 50s fall into that category, so Walls (unbelievably) has a point.

There was also a bit of an argument between a Tigers player and an ump over a free kick decision. Had it been Hall arguing with the ump, it would've been an automatic 50m penalty.
