Are we gonna get wet?

Hi all,

Haven't been to Homebush for years but the fam and I have tickets for tonight. We're sitting behind the goals on the northern end and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how wet we're likely to get. It's no issue of mine but certain members of my party aren't quite as interested in the footy and might find it to a bit more like torture than a fun night out with the family.

You will be able to move to drier undercover seats towards the back (I've done so previously). The weather is so bad that I think they'll be lucky to get more than 30,000 there tonight.

The skies are clearing. Thongs and shorts tonight, it's gonna be muggy out at the swamp. Bring the Aeroguard Tropical Strength.

You will be fine, no one is all that precious about seating out at Homebush, as long as you are in your right area. Just move back a bit under cover.

HOWever, shorts and thongs wouldn't be tolerated at the venue, so advise against that. BUT suits and ties are probably not warranted either.

We sit behind the goals at the Northern end, however we are upstairs on level 3. It would be fairly easy to work your way up there if you are getting wet. It's a great view up there and there are always plenty of free seats. No one has ever asked to see my pass there once through the gate so I suggest adopting the Gary Gilmore maxim if you are keen to get upstairs - "Just walk straight and determined to your destination, and look like you own the place" and you'll be fine.

Yeah, I'd say you're gonna get wet if you're right behind the goals at either end. It's a cold, wet and miserable day here in Sydney. The crowd's gonna be way down I would think - in fact, the Magpies supoorters might out-number our own. I kid you not.

Awwwwww, it's almost clearing up closer to the city and I was hoping it'd miraculously turn into a rain free evening!
