Last week against Hawthorn i was unfortunately in the car and had to listen on the radio on MMM the commentators were Shane Crwaford (Hoawthorn Champion) Stephen Quatermain (Hawthorn Fan) and Jason Dunstall (Hawthorn Champion)
The commentary box was like a Hawthorn love fest, which is extremely frustrating as a swans fan!

Rehearsed or not, great call by Dennis tonight:

"Both sides not going through the corridor, lets call that the 'Nate Myles effect'"
"In some ways we?re less predictable to ourselves and sometimes that can be detrimental because we don?t really know where we?re going" - P.Roos

To go off-topic, or anti-topic, I've been enjoying listening to MMM on the frequent occasions when there's no Swans TV feed in this AFL-less hole.

Troy Luff does special comments. I don't mean to sound surprised, but he's pretty good -- and has a good eye for the game and of course the Swans. Leo Barry was the boundary rider last week and made a few special special comments.

When it gets quiet, you can always rely on Brad Seymour and whoever else is in the box to pay out on Troy -- even Roos, when Luffie interviewed him a few weeks ago.

So, lots of Swans, no BT or Rex, and Luffie copping it. Couldn't get any better, unless they brought in Bucks - what a great commentator he is.

Listening to SEN now during the lead up to the Essendon game and Bartlett is talking sense about us...it is obvious he has watched us play and made sensible comments about Pyke. Good old KB

Tim Watson is a cool dude, he lives in my area and I see him walkin the dogs most mornings.

Does Timmy have the "special saddle" on and the dogs muzzled?

I have no issue if he thought of it beforehand.
Research research research is good. He actually gets the players right. Bravo I say.
FWIW he rarely repeats one of his -isms.

Now hang on a bit, perhaps not in the Brucey Special range but he did kick our winning goal in 05, and he did kick five in ressies this week. Mind you, come to think of it, some of his place kicking is a bit suss, but that doesn't make him a lousy kick....oh dear I am getting confused. OK , not good, not bad, but we should treasure the little sweetie, he did kick us ahead of the wiggles when the mighty mick couldn't, and should be respected for that.

He did spray the kick though if you watch it closely, but it was straight enough

Sprayed in a good way you mean.... But his celebration is a gem....does he get points for that?

Did anyone hear Bruce McAvaney's attack on Peter Burgoyne during Sunday's game at the MCG after a fairly weak effort in a one-on-one contest on the wing? In hindsight he was a bit tough on the guy but I loved Dennis' response: 'Ah Bruce I like you when you pull your punches'

He also describe Liam Jurrah's mark as a 'turn on', something I think only Bruce could have gotten away with!! Best caller in the game, still knows his stuff as well as anyone and most important of all never takes himself or the game too seriously, unlike some *cough* Quartermain *cough* Lane

I'm a Commetti-ism fan also although in recent times I've heard him use the Tippi Hedron line on at least 3 separate games when the seagulls are flocking on the ground. Stopped being funny for me a while back. His co-commentators never laugh either and then he has to explain it, making it even more embarrassing. Dennis, time to retire that joke before it gets a telegram from the Queen for turning 100.
