"The Swans would fancy their chances against North and Essendon at SCG and also have Demons at Manuka and the Tigers at the MCG. But Geelong and Collingwood in Round 20-21 may be a knockout blow."

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

              Have to win these games:

              North
              Essendon
              Melbourne
              Richmond
              Brisbane

And then pinch one of the others.

11 wins might just sneak us in there.

Not going to be easy but I haven't written them off yet.

Brisbane are more of a concern to me than Carlton. I think Carlton are never quite sure how to play us, though granted they have improved significantly this year.

I'm concerned that our confidence could take a battering against Collingwood and Geelong leaving us sitting ducks for the Lions. That said we invariably beat them at home and it could come down to this match. Lose any of the others though and it won't matter.

If we can pinch any game it could be against the Saints. They should have sown up a top 2 spot by August so they might be easing their foot off the gas.

I don't think your too far off....Carlton is a definite borderline.. Brisbane will be MOL's last game, unless injured,...At the SCG hopefully a stirring win!

I thought Brisbane might be slightly easier, given that it's at the SCG. We got smashed by Collingwood in Rnd 21 last year and then destroyed Brisbane in Rnd 22.

We've got a very good record against Carlton but they've been closing the gap in the last couple.

We can win 5/6 here, if we have minimal injuries, then be playing for a spot in the finals...

If we can manage to find a win in Adelaide, the next 4 are certainly winnable to get us some momentum heading into the death last leg.

If we win 5 in a row heading into St Kilda then watch out!

the Brisbane game will be interesting - expect them to be making the finals..... A win for them at the SCG would be a good litmus test for how they will fare in the first week of the finals. I agree on Carlton - except that it is in Melbourne - a place that the Swans tend to find themselves "out of water".

I reckon 11 will be good for a 7th or 8th placing provided there is another team which breaks away from the pack with StK and Gee.

We all remember Pluggers "last" home game in 1999 vs Adelaide. I think it was Brett Kirks 3rd game or something too and he kicked a lazy 3 in a 118 point mauling. So hopefully we stand up.

All in all we have been quite below par but had things gone our way we could easily be 7-5 and vying for 4th-6th possie and min 1 home final. 11 finals in 13 years (with 2002 being a season of close games which could've catapulted us in the top 4) is excellent in anyone's book. Shame our fickle NSW market can't see that!
