You would think a club that had been so progressive for a long time, would have seen this coming and turned over the list more and had greater scrutiny and accountabilty put upon their olds and bolds. The writing was on the wall after 2007 that it was too much to expect those players to take us to another premiership, yet they cut 2 players who were approaching their prime in favour of others.
Exactly. List turnover was too slow and they drafted too many marginal top ups. Like the best greek tragedies, the pathos of the script is if anything magnified by the predictible nature of plot.

Anyway, I am not wishing failure on the club. But there are lean times ahead. It's when supporters need to show their true colours.

Even though clearly in our best 18, surely we cannot persist with the moron that is Big Bad Boofhead.

I would persist with the Margarine for another year, but only as a leading forward. Needs to learn to kick straight from a set shot to become effective, but can lead and chase well. Far too soft to play anywhere else.

As up an down Lurch and Teddy are. There are no replacements.

I can't see Brabazon becoming a footballer, but will get a few games this year to see if he brings anything to the table.

Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

If we're going to tank for a draft pick then lets at least do it properly and finish 11th (assuming Melbourne don't get their 4 wins).
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .
