    Round 14 - North Melbourne

I think it's fair to say our efforts against Collingwood and Adelaide were our most competitive for some time, with several new players being given opportunities.

So, if Roos is true to his word, this will continue for the rest of this year, in preparation for 2010 and beyond.

Given that, I don't think we'll have too much trouble against North Melbourne this coming Sunday at the SCG.

We need an ass kicking(Us kick them, that is). We've been pantsed 4 weeks in a row.
I don't remember the last time we lost 5 in a row.

    Edit: Now I remember - 2002 (6 in a row)

      Some real heart breakers there.

Essendon was the first AFL game played at Stadium Australia. Ricky Mott missed a set shot 30 metres out directly in front which would of won us the game.

Geelong, we were up by 26 points or something 10 minutes in the last quarter where Willo was on fire booting 2 long range goals on the run only for us to blow it all away. I think Steven King had a ripper that last quarter.

The Western Bulldogs game was abysmal. I think Rocket Eade got the personal boos at 3 quarter time as he was running out to the ground to attend the players.

The Collingwood game is where Tarrant tore Saddington a new one i think. IIRC Schauble kicked 4 goals and we had a sizable lead at quarter time/half time only to piss it all away.

That whole year was a horrible year for heart breaking losses.

Jarred Poulton from Port kicked a goal from 50 metres after the siren to beat us as well that year.

The bushrats are crapper than us ... we just might win this one.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Just a win after 4 straight losses would be good thanks.

                Change of coach apparently.

The Wankeroos probably should win this, giving we've won 5 in a row at the SCG and we're due to lose this.

Not really - I live in hope of a win every week.

Given what Hall's impending suspension I am probably having a bit each way!!

                  cheers

Haha. We play better without Hall. So I'd prefer our chances!!

We'll win. The last few weeks we have been very competitive and only lost by small amounts. Probably should have won all 3 of our last 3 games if it wasn't for certain incidents.

                        Great euphemism.

Yes we have been playing ok - but still losing. Being at home will help, but I'm not tipping with any confidence. North looked ok against the Bulldogs.

Not too sure about your logic (new, untried players=more chance of winning??) but I agree with the result.

Sydney by a kick or two.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

After which the coach resigned before he was pushed. Ominous signs for Roos if we lose to North and Essendon?
