I think we could well win the next 3 of the next 4 games. So far this year we haven't challenged the bookies much; with the exception of the Hawks game in round 2, I think the bookies have been spot on with us. I assume we would be favourites against the Kangas, Dees and the Dons with Carlton at Docklands being short priced favourites. The thing about this year is that we haven't overachieved (in terms of the bookies expectations) like we did a few years back.Comment

our season went west after teds clanger against the bulldogs followed shortly after by jarrod moore non handball to jolly, the we had the hawthorn game nothing need be said there, the there was the collingwood game a ted clanger and a lrt kick to a pack when goodesy was free on the wing the resulting spilt ball was a coolingwood goal, all game turners ...then the crow game we played a half of footy , our season is shot yet had it not been for turnovers at crucial times it all could have been another story, and again hiding the inevitable that we need a good rebuild.
on the positive there l l be a lot of cash free under the sal cap so watch for a big recruit or 2. any speculation as to who.........Comment

I'm all for positivity, but I'm sorry Totti, this is nonsense. Adelaide and Collingwood have been consistently beating us for years. We actually put in a decent show this year, but that doesn't put us at their level. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if we win 3 of the next 4. And I'd swop that for one victory as long as that was a thumping of the Bombers.Comment

Perhaps we are going better than I'm making out . . . . .
But some people need to watch more football, particularly non-Swans games, to see just how far off the pace we are. Pace being the key word.
It also must be said that we play a brand of footy that makes it hard for other teams to blow us away, often sugar-coating the situation.
It's not all doom and gloom though. Just 2 years ago the Bombers were being criticised for a lack of pace - and look at them now.And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .Comment

Fair point on our brand of footy, you're spot on. Although, we've been in front at different stages over the last three weeks - twice in the last quarter, so I don't think the results have flattered us.
The sides around us (Essendon, Carlton, Hawthorn & Port Adelaide) have been just as inconsistent and oridinary as us at times.Bloods

We will bounce back and win four in a row
Looking at the draw I think the swans are a big chance to win the next four. North and Essendon at home. Carlton out of form and Melbourne away. This would put us at 9 wins and eight losses. Still very much in the hunt for the eight.
So if we simply beat Richmond away and Brisbane at the SCG we will probably make the eight and if we jag one of Geelong(home), St Kilda (home) or Collingwood (away) then we could even get a home final.
The last three are almost impossible but with potentailly Micky "o", Leo Barry and Barry Hall all hanging up the boots there would be a powerful incentive to send them out in style.Comment

Agreed. I think the last few weeks have shown alot of promise from the Swans, and we haven't played all to badly. B.Hall out will be interesting, but with McVeigh, C.Bolton, Malceski, all set to return and maybe a debut from one of our younger guys I think we stand a good chance. The Kangas r not in good form so im not to worried about that game, and although Essendon beat Carlton quite convincingly, Carlton have been in terrible form and it shouldn't have come as a shock. Carlton (look above) while Melbourne just can't win. Richmond should be alright as well, but Brisbane will pose a test. Its at the SCG however and that is much smaller and more suited to us. If we strike up some good form, we should be able to beat all those teams. Then who knows, if we get into some good form I reckon we stand a good chance against Collingwood, and maybe even StKilda seeing as we always have tight encounters with them. We won't beat Geelong however. I know im getting ahead of myself but we can beat most of those teams and do stand a chance at making the finals. Gotta keep the faithComment
