    Blockbuster: Cats v Saints

It's the biggest weekend in AFL since that time Hall got a free.

Will it be be another day out for Bomber's Cats as they purr their way to September? Or can Ross Lyon's Saints ruffle their furr, pluck their whiskers and get the cream?

It's on at the same time as our game isn't it?

I hope the boys at MMM don't give score updates.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

You think it might affect the result?

Cats comfortably IMO. On paper I actually think St.Kilda are a better side though.

Swans v North starts at 1.10 pm at SCG and is the live telecast into Sydney (doesn't matter to me coz I'm at the ground). Cats v Saints starts at 3.10 at Docklands, so for people in Sydney, you can avoid hearing the final result because I don't think there will be any radio commentary of that game here. However, it may not be possible to avoid the result entirely that evening before watching Seven's replay in Sydney which is being shown at midnight to 3.00 am.

Saints to continue the shut down that has proven to be Geelong's downfall. Hawks did it last year with the rolling zone, now Saints turn with the crush.

Cats, apart from the Carlton match the Aints haven't had much of a test yet. The Cats have been tested a number of times and still won.
Then again, if the Cats aren't accurate the Aints should be able to account for them.
What's that, am I getting a splinter in my arse from sitting on the fence?

No, but I do want to watch it after I get home from the Swannies match.
                    I'll be IQ-ing both matches.

I'm going tentatively for Geelong ... though it'll be an epic battle.

I heard yesterday that the premiers of the last 7 years all lost to the team they defeated in the Grand Final during the season. Should these 2 teams meet again in the Grannie, this might be a portent to the eventual winner...

                        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

It's on Foxtel live into Sydney, so I'll be recording and watching it when I get home from the SCG.

I've got the same splinter. I'm leaning towards the Saints because it will make the season interesting.

In 2006, West Coast beat us the one time we played them and they beat us in the GF.

I guess if you count the final as well, the statement rings true.
