Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

It is just extraordinary isn't it that the coaches when Corey Jones had blitzed us with 3 goals in the second quarter that in the sheds they call Bevo out to take him for the rest of the game. The worst footballer in the comp! Thats just the boy for the job. And then unbelievably Corey Jones doesn't get another goal for the match. Job done. Incredible. He took their best and most dangerous small forward out of the game. If you reckon he is the worst in the comp (presumably you have run the slide rule over the complete lists of every club to make that statement) where does that leave all but six of our list that finished behind him in last years B&F??? Next season when the 32 year tugger is finally delisted we will have a young tight defense with Bevo quarterbacking, running the lines, filling the corridor (not just tagging). A future captain. That probably sums it up nicely in simple terms.
His game against North was ok by the below average standards of 42. Not one of his worst.
He will look at his stats and think - gee I played ok, got some kicks, some marks. Some "stats" as one or two like to point out on RWO in defence of 42.
Yes, he does link up ok with team mates in uncontested runs out of defence... most of these kicks and handballs are reasonable even though there's a training drill level of pressure. He gets stats because the opposition forwards have already zoned off and left him and 2-3 other Swans to play kick to kick with themselves as they try to run the ball sideways then out of defence. That is where Bavan gets his easy stats. A mule could get those stats.
But what he won't understand is why he loses the critical 1% one-on-one battles that end up costing goals.
He, and this coaching group don't seem to be working on the more critical problems that occurr with 42 virtually every week...
The fact that he stood 2-3m from his man in a stoppage on the wing and allowed him to get an easy disposal off to his team mate running past and create another easy forward entry, or, because he can't watch the ball and his man in defence he was too slow off the mark and allowed the opponent an uncontested mark on a forward lead from an average kick, or, when he flew to punch a pack ball he was never going to reach and left his man unattented on the ground to get the spillage and create a goal... it goes on and on.
I think we really miss the incomparable defensive hardness of Ross Lyon who would have pointed these things out to 42 once he saw more of him at senior level. I don't think it would have helped much though, other than influencing Roos to delist him.
No other team would have 42 on their list so no hope for a trade.... even for a half-eaten sandwich.
I'm not going to mention the obvious howlers that 42 contributes most games.
Lol, could you imagine a season highlight reel of those at the B&F?!? Can anyone think of a tune to go with it??Bevo bandwagon driverComment

So you are trying a bit of logic. Try this. If Bevo was so hopeless why was he switched onto Jones; why did he get Daisy and why was he switched onto Johnston when he had annihalated Bolton??? Answer: The coaches are mugs, Bevo is hopeless and you are wasted on a keyboard. You should be coaching. Right.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

And all the goals kicked by Johnson on Bevan were not Bevan's fault, and C Bolton is a hack, needing help from Bevan, and we won't talk about those times when Bevan has been annihilated in defence. Your logic is amazing. The coaches have no idea except when they agree with you.So you are trying a bit of logic. Try this. Connolly I agree with you about Bevan. I remember either last season or the season before on this site it was all about McHack and how terrible he was, well he has proved that to be wrong, and I think all the people who now put Bevan down are going to be made to look stupid as well. Okay he makes mistakes (as do the rest of the team) but hes a tough player and I certainly want him to stay a Swans player. So you are trying a bit of logic. Try this. Bolton is not a hack. All defenders get beaten at times. Except only one or two get singled out. They don't, actually. It's firstly a very small sample, and secondly his average of 55% is actually below the team average over the past decade of 57.7% to 63.9%.
At least I actually have some basis in reality for my stance.Comment

So you are want to regugitate that heap? Incredible that after he plays his role by keeping Jones to no goals after halftime he and his football are denigrated. One things for sure is that he will be picked next week and the weeks after. What is it about some Bloods supporters that they turn on the players who give the most. Bevo, Hall???? What a strange mob we have become.Bevo bandwagon driverComment
