    Calendar of death

Looking at my Official AFL 2009 Sydney Swans Calendar yesterday, it seemed to me that the best way to end your career at the club is to have your picture in there!

Inside Cover - Leo - Injured all year and finishing
January - Kirk - Going well
February - Buchanan - Shocking year
March - Ball up Benny - Already Gawn!
April - Goodes - Going well
May - Craig Bolton - Injured for the first time.
June - ROK - Nearly left last year
July - Hall - Well you know the story!
    August - Fossy - Gawn!
September - Jols - Going well
    October - Nicky D - Gawn!
November - Jude - Going Well
December - Tadgh - Gawn for the year and maybe ever!

Six out of thirteen in our current team!
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Amazingly, when I got home yesterday I was making a cuppa ready to sit and watch the Cats v Saints game I had recorded.

The calendar is on the pantry door in the kitchen and I noticed that I hadn't moved it to July. Flipped it over and had a chuckle when I saw it was Bazza, considering we may not see him in July. I then looked at August and we won't see Fossie in August and the way we are travelling, I doubt we'll see Jolly in September either.
