Seriously what's the go with former sports stars getting caught up in legal dramas and criminal activities...

Just off the top of my head there's; Craig McDermott, Scott Miller, Wayne Carey, Gary Ablett, Jarrod McCracken plus heaps and heaps of others.

It's usually a combination of a low intellect base, plus adulation from family and fans and they believe their own myth. It is a surprise when reality catches up with them because they have lived in a cocoon of their own ego.

            Bingo!

It's still disappointing when it happens to players like Cressa who were great servants to their clubs.

The bloke has had a terrible run of tragedies in his life. Not condoning fraud mind you (and he has a presumption of innocence) but the NAB? Hope he can get back into society and make a go of things. All the best Cressa.

I can't believe Cressa has gotten himself into this.

Despite my dislike of him and what he has done to others, I agree with you. I do hope he can get back into society and I was pleased that he said in one article that he didn't want anyone to feel sorry for him as it was his own doing. He seems now to be accepting some responsibility so maybe I should lighten up on him.( but I am so good at holding a grudge)
