I'll give you a tip....there are some footy nuts who frequent this site....and some of them barrack for the Swans....and some of us (God, knows why ) can recite our only premiership team in 76 years in our sleep...so you can be pretty sure that PAUL BEVAN IS A SWANS PREMIERSHIP PLAYER!!! (And Nick Malceski and Jarred McVeigh are not)

Bevan played in the 05 Grandfinal, Malceski was a emergency with Mcveigh. LRT would win.

Macleski, Powell and Spriggs were the emergencies i think.

The first 2 i'm pretty sure of but slightly unsure on the 3rd.

At this stage, a settling day in season 2016 or 2017 is distinctly possible.
without meaning to throw a spanner in the works here but seeing though the general concensus is that 2016-17 is around the time we will find out who it is, if the swans manage to win another flag between 2009-2015(lets hope so), this competetion only applies to a member of the 2005 team. I started the thread, I set the rules.

Actually for Leigh's information the Geelong player he assaulted behind play and broke his jaw thought he didn't deserve it. And the thug didn't deserve Player of the Century either. He deserved a jail term.

Very interesting, I just consulted my copy of the Grand Final Record. Guess who the listed emergencies were?

not in a million years would I have picked Schauble, just out of curiosity who is the Powel that has been spoken of before? I can't seem to recall a Powel playing for us in recent years.

Doesn't everyone remember fretting about Hall's trip to the tribunal and wondering if Schaubs could take his place and kick 6 in a winning performance?

Gee, you're making me work now. I just dragged out some old Records and found him in the 2003 Player list. Mark Powell DOB 15/03/84 from Lavington (NSW) and Murray U18. By Rd 5 of that year he hadn't played any senior games. I know he did subsequently but he wouldn't have chalked up a big number. I can certainly remember him, slightly longer hair than than is usual.....no idea where he is now.

GoSouth, you wouldn't happen to have the 06 GF record too?

I'm trying to recall the 06 emergencies.
My guess would be Spriggs, Vogels, Moore?

Mark Powell (#29) started 2002, lasted till end 2005, left and joined Kangaroos, then was delisted by Kangaroos. It was all a bit silly at the time ...

Playing for Queanbeyan Tigers in the ACTFL

                                Here is a pic i took. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffers...7617630335862/

Mark is the one tackling Jessie White.

He was traded to the Kangaroos for a draft pick at the end of 05 but retired during pre-season training.

The pick we got for him was what got us Brabazon i think..
