Exactly, with the focus on youth Ablett should have to do more than White. We've seen what Ablett can do, not much.

      Just playing devil's advocate.

From the report he was unchallenged, the ball was served on a platter and he should have kicked 12....he could have kicked 3, but played more convincingly and be playing this week. No of goals in canberra is somewhat irrelevant. Didn't DOK get 6 a few weeks ago?

As I said short term looss - long term gain. Ablett is a pawn.

Ablett is a hack. His form this year has been attrocious.

Why does this surprise anyone? As mentioned in the "where do you want to finish" thread, whilst we are a finals chance, you will continue to see crap decisions like this. What next - Leo?

Despite all his posturing, Roos is not serious about rebuilding or finding out our real capabilities until our finals chances are gone. For all of you who are desperate to be week 1 finals fodder, look forward to more of these selections whilst we stay in the finals race. Jesse obviously needs to kick 10 next week to be a chance ...

I'm actually more suprised Pyke isn't playing considering Essendon's ruck stocks.

                Is it really so surprising
70% said on RWO they want to have a go at the finals it comes down to inexperienced forward against Ablett etc.

Yeah but the puzzling point about that is that i would think that we would have a better result, the team would play better without ablett not with him. We dont need a fat out ablett slowing us down pick up his 12 possessions 6 of which are clangers

this is when i get annoyed!!!

why bring in a player who didn't dominate the reserves and doesn't offer a lot at the expense of blooding younger players?!?!

not happy at all - i want to look to the future and not get stuck in the past!!

Sure - if Abllet earned his place, but the reports from the reserves watches is that he had not.

Would rather see DOK be promoted, sounds like he has earned it.

Sadly, I think the selection panel is still in denial.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

We have 5 very winable games coming up Dons, Blues, Dees, Saints maybe a chance & Tigers before we hit the wall Cats, Wobbles & Lions
Our recent form against the 1st five is pretty good the selectors don't want to take any chances with a young big forward/ruckman.

Obviously a ploy to bring in a tagger to control their run. So the best we can hope for is another grinding victory. Next year must be the time that they plan on showcasing the new forward line.

I had to read that about 4 times before I got it..

Yes pedestrian but will do a better stopping job than Brabazon I think.
Dons very fast and quick. Would think coaches want the ugliest game they can possibly bring?

Yeah the only reason we'd be playing Luke is in the hope we can shut down Essendon, there's no other logic behind it.
