....problem is with parochial types is the possibility of effective evaluation of the game is compromised. Commentary is meant to be just that.....a nice garnish to the main meal, it is not meant to detract attention from what is happening on the field.

When I find myself frustrated by poor commentary (ie parochial "look/listen-to-me) type stuff it's like garnishing a wagu-fed sirloin with coca-cola.

I personally don't want to hear pro-swans commentary for that exact reason. Which is why Grybas, Commetti, Healy.....(even Alistair Lynch and Dermi) are/were quite good for that...they simply make their comments from what they see....

Perhaps it is easier for those of us in Melbourne who get to hear him several times over the course of a weekend that understand and appreciate his style.

That's right. I think he's really good value, although I can see that those who aren't used to him might take him too seriously.

Samantha Lane must be reading about our gripes regarding the ignorance of the media. She has put together an article today about roos and the up and comers. (I dont know how to insert the link but its on the age website.)

I am still griping. Apparently only Tadgh and BBB left the Swans. Benny and Fossy don't count. They do in my eyes! Our sojers matter as much as our Shtars.

Quoted for truth. That Youtube clip probably makes him (among others) breathe a huge sigh of relief that they didn't play the game in the "Modern era". Wouldn't last 15 seconds in front of a tribunal.

Hard to take BT seriously. He ribbs everyone who's not in his current network of employers.

He just has that good old boy blokey chauvenistic sense of humour but harmless enough. I think he's funny enough because those Teams shows can be boring.

He won 1 Coleman and doesn't have any other silverware in the cabinet. I did love that YouTube highlight reel.

I hope not because BT is on the money. (As things stand)

Sorry mate, your gradings are not worthy of analyzing. Maybe it had something to do with the time you posted.

However, notwithstanding this you are entitled to your opinion.

Same old crap on the Footy Show today.

Can't wait for next week when we get to hear him salivating over every Collingwood player who goes within 50 metres of the ball, whilst ignoring all signs of talent and promise in the Sydney squad.

All he said was our second half of the year as great as Brayshaw said it was.
He then said we have won 3 games and all that we have beaten have been North, Richmond & Melbourne .

My point is that he just never has anything positive to say and when Brayshaw said "So you don't give them any credit (for a team rebuilding)" - BT said nothing.
