    MARN GROOK Footy Show

The Marn Grook Footy show from Sydney started with an absolutely fantastic montage tribute to the Swans history and the foundation of the Mark Grook trophy featuring that goal by Robbie Ahmat agst the Roos.
There's Annie Haddad in the front row (hope they don't have question time )

Goodesy admits to man-crush on Mcleod and says he is lobbying the recruiters for an indigenous selection.

Lovely to see Magic reminisce about coming to Sydney and being scared of Barass.
Steve Taubert is still a lovely big fella.

Some interesting comments from Taubert, who said White has concentration lapses. They are clearly trying to tell him that he has to earn selection.

Great to see the youg MOL in game 4 too... when he still had his pace.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

            Here you go Bob.
Marngrook Footy Show :: Deadly game. Deadly show.
It's on NITV (national indigenous tv) - a channel on Fox.
No nonsense, footy focussed AFL show which last night was filmed in Sydney and featured Goodes and Magic as the Marn Grook Trophy is played on Saturday between Swans/Dons.
Apologies for the mispelling Marngrook - one word (if that is what you were getting at)

FTA Channel 40 on a Thursday night but I forgot and MISSED it! Its indig channel, you get it if you have digital tv or set top box. A bit laboured sometimes, but some great docos indig based. Anyone know if this is repeated?

Sorry I missed it last night so if anyone knows if a repeat will be shown that would be appreciated....

From what I've seen of the show the hosts are knowledgeable, likeable, funny and dont have inflated egos or a misguided sense of self-importance. A few other footy show hosts should take note....

Well, you're unlucky to have missed the replay because it's replayed on Friday morning 7.00 to 9.00. I was there last night and found it a bit of fun. I met Annie for the first time (she ain't no shrinking violet!!...hehe...). She had her minute of fame right at the end when Rockin' Ronnie Burns came off the panel and asked her a couple of questions. Of course, her running comments caused some humour especially when she uttered "delicious" as Cyril Rioli was shown as an "in" for Hawthorn (to get the background to the "delicious" you'd need to have heard Bruce McAveny's commentary a few weeks back and Sam Newman's "taking it off" on the Footy Show). Gilbert McAdam overheard Annie and made reference to it in his comments.
It was quite a good roll up and seemed to be a larger audience than they usually seem to get for their Melbourne broadcasts. Lots of red and white there!!
The old footage of Magic's fourth game (1995) was terrific: we gave Carlton a hiding in that game: Plugger got 8 and Magic got three or four. Even Kenny looked much younger (suppose it was 15 years ago).

Another gong for Goodesy .... Marngrook Player Of The Year.

Blitz em. A good 35 points ahead of Leon Davis who came second.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
