    Round 17 - Melbourne

We're all in unfamiliar territory now, aren't we? This is first time for many years that our fate has essentially been decided well before Round 22.

It's hard to predict how we'll perform on Sunday, because the rest of the season is now all about blooding youngsters, and cleaning out the list. We're going to be a lot more unpredictable for some time I would think.

For these reasons, it should be an interesting game against the Demons. And it's also going to be interesting to see how many people show up at our remaining games.

Roos stated yesterday that he'll play younger guys but not at the expense of the team, explaining that a young guy will come in for a young guy, a seasoned player for a seasoned player, etc. So I don't think we'll become too tragic ala Richmond. Home by 4 or 5 goals.

Well ah me. I have us down as by up to 9 points. We are not travelling well, and Melbourne have found legs. I am hopeful but am putting aside two bottles of red to be consumed during the game to dull the pain or to celebrate, which ever comes first.

I want to be proved wrong.

We'll scrape in by 2 points.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I hate the draft system because it makes me want to lose every match for the rest of the year haha (easier said than done when actually watching the game mind you)

Stuff finishing mid table, I want a high draft pick!

              Melbourne by 20.

We were sitting 5 and 4(wins/losses) after round 9 and since then we have gone 1 and 6(wins/losses),havn't seen us do that in a long time. I just want to see another win please, dont care by how much, just win. More to the point I would love to see a win here in Melbourne please, preferebly against Collingwood in round 21.

I can't believe that Melbourne go into this game with better recent form then us!

Picture this. Kirky not finishing out the game at full pace and passion. Not going to happen. Who will volunteer to knock him out so the others can tank?

I'm askeerd to guess. I'd hope we win, 'cause even in a "rebuilding and blooding the young 'uns" phase, if we can't beat Melbourne ... gah.

Swans by 34. There's no reason why we should lose this match, the Swans are ordinary this season but we're not as bad as Melbourne, Richmond or Freo...
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

                            Or West Coast and North.

                            We'll win and win well.

Guys, have a look at the table and remaining fixtures - we are almost certain to finish in 11th spot.

That being the case, i see no point in tanking. Swans by 21 points.
