Despite the "win" we are at our lowest point since 1993....in my dazed opinion....

what a load of rubbish that game was , a bore from start to finish . it would have to go down as bad as the draw of 02 against st kilda. and we still have people deluded that we going to play finals.

By God, that was diabolical. The third quarter in particular was a disgrace.

We were lucky that the Dees missed some sitters.

                    Soooo....

                    OUT:
Ablett - just average. Nothing from him.
Thornton - Nothing spectacular. I don't think he is part of our future and don't think he will make it.
Hanneberry - looked good. Very tough footballer and will def be a key part. Out only cauz he has got school.

                    IN:
Bucchanon - injured so im not sure. He will be given a chance.
Veszpremi - Prob a bit harsh to be dropped.
Murphy - I think we need someone at CHB so he is my op.
DOK - In if Bucchy is out. Impressed in the reserves so deserves to play.

Only positives - Bird, Barlow, Hanners, Jack, Grundy, etc

Point taken. Quietly (because everyone seemed to think I was way behind the eightball) I worried when he was made a captain. I have always considered him to be a community leader, but not necessarily a leader of men. Not that I don't admire his many great qualities, but game day leadership is not necessarily one of them.

Egg throwing may now commence, but I was definitely disappointed in his ability to handle negative pressure.

Hannebery had school this week so that wouldn't be the only reason for dropping him. I thought he did well, was only a few places where he was caught a bit by the pace of the game but otherwise good disposal.

Murphy at CHB? They've been playing him at CHF lately and I suspect that's where he'll play if called up. In any case Grundy was very good today down back. Don't see DOK getting called up either.

I will give a big wrap to Hannerbery. And Nick Smiff. Both cool under pressure, and Hanners can take the trickiest of marks.

McVeigh is still evolving and I like him.

My Darling Lukie is not as good as he has been. Shame.

I'm not as near as negative about todays game as most here appear to be.

We were ordinary, that's being kind I'll admit, but the players who performed well were the players we are relying on to take the club forward.

Hannebery, Smith, Bird, Grundy, Barlow, Moore....all good.
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

Four goals in a half of football against the bottom team.
