How are we going to beat the StK back line and create opportunities for shots on goal?
Earlier this year, Baz was out and we still managed to find multiple goal scorers but the last couple of games our forward line have looked a little stuck in the mud and there doesn't seem to be much flair!
What do we do?

Ok, the key to any good forward line is the mid. That can be addressed. We already have an A-Class mid, but Goodes needs to stay there. If Kirk and Jude can continue to win the clearances and kick it into our forward line we will be set. The Saints have some great mids in montagna, dal, etc but they can be shut down. The correct matchups will be key, and I have no doubt the swans will try and strangle them. The forward line is not to much of a concern. White didn't kick many mainly cuaz the ball wasn't being kicked to him. We need to make him our main target, and im sure that he is much faster and more agile than Hudgton (dawson being out). MOL needs to have a ripper and should. Veszpa will add that spark, and he needs to be crumbing around the packs AND be made to push into the mid more (didak kida role). Murphy should play to add that extra option and we should stretch their defence. ROK can continue his role, but should push up into the forward line a bit more, as his goal kicking has clearly improved. Jolly pushing forward would also be another op seeing as he is more agile than king. The Swans will win. C'mon SWANNIES, need the bloods spirit to step through. According to ROK, the boys are confident so I am. Gotta believe.
Oh and Ablett, Bucchy, Bevan, Pyke CAN NOT PLAY (I am harsh on Pyke but in a game like this you need players who don't make so many mistakes and are ready for AFL, next year is a better oppurtunity).

Very simple, run hard, spread wide and move the ball quickly to beat the zone. We won't beat them with 35 inside 50's we will need more than 50 and if that means going wide to get inside the zone then so be it.

Oh and then pray to god that we take advantage of any shots from inside 50 in the pockets.

Would like to see Ablett out this week and another runner or two added for pace (Ves. DOK or Bucky). Along with Crouch back to annoy the living suitcase out of Milne, Smith to take Scheinder, Bolton to take Reiwoldt and LRT for Kosi. Grundy to play the swing man and be the second man up against the two talls.

Someone needs to play a defensive forward role on Goddard and we need to use them as much as possible going forward to exploit him.

Our perception that we are able to beat them. Not going to happen with what we have currently running around on the paddock. I'd rather the young brigade all get the experience of an immense trashing (it's gonna happen anyway!!) so they can learn and make sure that NEVER happens again whilst they are playing for us. The rest of the season is all about learning. Even if mathematically we can still make the finals, we'd be there to make up the numbers only ... we'd be finals fodder. I'd rather the young brigade cut their teeth in a final when we actually have a chance of winning ... Next year or the year after.

This year is shot, I am looking forward to a quiet September for a change ... Perhaps we can start the RWO maintenance early this year ... Now, there's an idea.

can you honestly say that our lads will be able to defeat St Kilda, Geelong, Collingwood and the Lions in the next 5 weeks??? even Richmond is an "iffy" - I'm all for hope, but that can only go so far. Lets just say "thats the year that was and lets see what 2010 brings" perhaps the 4 extra weeks holiday will help the injured boys heal, and give them all an extended rest period so as they will be ready and refresehed for next season.

no need to be sorry - I gathered the Rambo thing was a bit of "yumour"! I just cant see, with the way the team is at the moment, how we can honestly win against the best two of the best sides in the comp being Saints & Cats. My heart tells me that they can (after about 10 glasses of wine that is) but my head tells me otherwise. But I'm looking at the positives - think of the money we will all save on not having to purchase finals tickets, accomodation and travel costs! sot there is an up side!
