    Swan's loss = Saint's secret weapon ?

...the Saints' strength and conditioning general manager David Misson is proving an ace up Ross Lyon's sleeve every bit as valuable as the talents of Nick Riewoldt, Lenny Hayes or Nick Dal Santo.

While the other contenders for the AFL crown start to feel the injury pinch and the strain of a long year, St Kilda continues to breeze through win after win unscathed, and revitalised and refreshed in time for its next assignment.
I never got what happened to David Misson, why did the Swans ever let him go?

Because his wife got a job (head, I think) of a prestigous Melbourne school and so he relocated to Mexico.

      Misson. Lyons. Schneider. Dempster.

Did they all go for the same draft pick?

Sorry Liz, but it is the heartland of AFL footy, they play soccer in Mexico.

I have a feeling the gravity of losing Misson was mentioned in a thread on here when it actually happened.

The guy is a freak...Mission that is. He's done amazing things down there.

Peter Jonas was another big loss as well when his wife made him go back to Adelaide.

It was a massive get that St Kilda got him, but they were extemely lucky that a) his wife got the job of a lifetime in Melbourne and b) that Ross Lyon just happened to be the St Kilda coach and knew what he was capable of.

Richard Colless should be out there lobbying every posh girls school in Sydney to headhunt Mrs Misson so that the Swans can get the great man back. Since Dave left our fitness people have embarked on a campaign to see how many of our young players they can cripple by overtraining them. O'Keefe, Laidlaw and Currie come immediately to mind.
