    Round 18 - St. Kilda

Who remembers Round 10, 1998? That was when the Saints thrashed us by 101 points at the SCG. I'm not sure, but I think that's the only time since 1996 we've been beaten by 100 points or more. (We did recover to beat them by 2 points when they returned for QF2 later that year).

I don't think we'll get beaten by 100 points, but you never know. The Saints are running hot, and we're not.

Even though this game is on the Swans preferred home ground, current performances from both sides suggest a very big win for the Sainters.
I can't see the Swans being capable of finding enough multiple goal kickers to match the Saints firepower.

No one can dispute they are well overdue for a tilt at the Grand Final.....

This match is definately a drinker!!
Johnnie Walker and I will have a tops night.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I remember that game well - I was in the Chairman's Club with 4 friends all of whom were going for St Kilda - it was a terrible night as my friends were also staying with me and let's just say I am a bad loser!

NOOOO... One premiership is enough for these bunch of tossers.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

We could only manage 68 vs the demonic ones and our average ppg is 84 whilst the Sainters concede a miserly 60 ppg. I think we'll be held to a very low score, something around that average and the Saints will romp home by about 50-60.

Gosh I remember those two matches in 98 CSquad. The 101 point loss was the demolition job on "fortress Sydney" as we'd won a string of games there since 1996. We did get them back in the wet 99-97 I think in the QF. Then that tool from Adelaide kicked 6 and sent us packing the next week.

I'm still keen to go though Just to watch Mick and the evil Saints go about their work.

Where's the Swans - Armageddon option?!?

No particularly confident about this one...Swans by 40+.

Midfielder Dan Hannebery will keep his place in the senior side pending his schoolwork commitments.
Swans coach confident Longmire will stay

                    we'll be fine...

In 2004, we ended the Saints' streak.

In 2009... we're going to get flogged by the Saints.

I think this will be typical game for us.
Up until the last five minutes of the third quarter we will be competitive and then the Aints will get 2-3 quick goals. Start the next quarter the same way and we will be out of it.
It may be a lot closer if we take all our chances but I think it will end up like the Bummers game. We were still in that until we had three shots on goal for three behinds and then the Bummers went down their end and easily scored, game over.
