At last! We are all just waiting for the call.....we all know much better about the inner sanctom and workings of the team than the coaches do.....however Roosy probably reads the site and does the opposite of our enlightened opinions.

I can, he is a big unit, doesn't break, will take them on, knows the game, has a thumping kick (even if a bit wayward) and come on folks, he is NOT that bad! He gives his all, he isn't brilliant but he has done brilliant things. He will be just fine in this game.

doesn't break well actually he's been out with illness/injury a bit this year,

will take them on ah no he wont which is the exact reason nobody wants him in the team,

knows the game take possession, jump on ball, force ball up. check,

has a thumping kick yes but rarely creates the option in space to use it, majority of his posessions are quick kicks out of packs that aren't directed to anyone in particular (even if a bit wayward)

and come on folks, he is NOT that bad see comments above!

He gives his all great Jason Cloke tried hard as well, we should recruit him,

he isn't brilliant but he has done brilliant things can you give just one example of a brilliant piece of play from Luke?.

He will be just fine in this game If your'e happy with 10 scrappy posessions from a midfielder.

Disagree completely. If he's playing as a half-forward, I fail to see how he's being selected over Veszpremi - regardless of the opposition. I can't believe he's only 26

There aren't many players running around, who haven't been in well beaten sides early in their careers. Has it been harmful to players developement?... To the contrary, seeing first hand how the best sides go about playing, is an invaluable lesson.
Exactly what youth are you referring to?

As per numerous posts on this thread, anything that might be worth a look at present to see if they will go on are either injured or coming back from injury and are not ready for senior football.

White, Pyke, Bird, Smith, Jack, Thornton and Vespremi are all getting game time in the seniors and that only leaves MOD and Brabazon who are both the most likely candidates of the lot to de-listed and therefore don't need senior game time.

It's OK to have an opinion, surely? You don't think people in high positions ever get things wrong?

Come on, Vespremi looks great and will no doubt be a long term senior player for us, but the 16 odd weeks he missed at the start of the year has meant he has been going up and done in the one spot for the last couple of senior games.

No use flogging to death a talented youngster, just so we can play "youth" for the same of the RWO board.

He is better off getting more game time on the ball in the ressies to find form and fitness for his development than what is happening in the seniors at present.

Depending on the players circumstances, playing reserves football maybe better for their development than getting flogged to death at senior level.

Hardly. He's coming back from a knee reco, and yet still managed to force his way into the side. He will be given another year. If he doesn't improve then, then he'll be in trouble.

doesn't being named as an emergency mean he won't be getting game time in the ressies?

Why, if they don't need to make a late change he will be playing in the ressies!

                            I don't see your point.

actually 1 of the emergencies will miss out on a game in the 2's in case there is a late injuy ala McVeigh in the warm up the other week

They usually play the first half.
