Crouch might be on his last legs but give him and his older team mates a break. If he was not in the best 22 he wldnt have been chosen.
If there is a player Leo will match up on well then play him and give him the farewell he deserves! Same goes 4 Crouch!
That says something about our best 22.

Don't agree at all about the throwing of "the kids" in the deep end. Everyone who has ever played a handful of games was thrown in the deep end at some stage. If you followed the deep end theory no one would play until their prime of 26 years old. Pyke wouldn't have played a game. Hannabeery shouldn't be playing either, he needs at least 3 years of body building and stamina to get to the desired level.

This will hold back our development next year.
On the other point I saw Michael Voss as an 18 year old play in teams that regularly got thrashed.Didn't seem to do him any harm? You learn a lot about how to win by watching a good side thrash you.
Paul Roos started his career with Fitzroy as a 19 year old straight out of the thirds.

Yeah if only we all just kept our opinions to ourselves... Threads would be really interesting, with no thinking required.

There is nothing wrong with playing youth.

As I have consistently said througg this thread, there is no use playing youth that are injured or are returning from long term injurues the sake of playing youth,

Just about all of the current younger members of the squad who are not injured and have had largely un-interupted seasons are getting regular games, except for both MOD and Brabazon who both look to have had their papers stamped for poor disposal already.

              Dear Mr Roos
Could you please make a late change and not play Micky today or better still hold him out next week so that we can have just one Swans feel good moment for the fans at home?

Sydney fans will get to see his last game at home. Melbourne fans get to see his 300th. Doesn't sound unreasonable.

In any case, many of us have already booked and paid for trips down to Melbourne next week to witness game 300. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Should he call it quits after 300?

Yes and it will be another sad day, just as Barry's was. Wish I could get down there for it, just went to Hall of Fame and Carlton game so no hope of that. Will try to capture the feel good Cheer Cheer The Red and The White in front of the screen Have a great time ! I love the AFL atmosphere down there.

The only thing that matters about this week's game is that MickyO doesn't get injured!

Longmire said on ABC that Crouch was selected as a match-up for the St Kilda small forwards.

And boy did he deliver. Had Milne's number all night, and that little crook knew it. Crouch was upset post-match as they waited to go down the race, from what I took from his intimated he was upset with his kick into the forward 50 in the dying minutes. One hell of a game.
