OUT: Mike Pyke (Seniors Promotion) Jared Crouch (Seniors Promotion) Jarred Moore (Seniors Promotion)
IN: Nick Malceski (Injury) Paul Bevan (Seniors Demotion)

    Scholarship players
Nathan Gordon, Ryan Bottin-Noonan have played most of the games, while a pattern seems to have emerged where Matt May plays the away games and Jay Lewis the home fixtures.

    Summary
Coming off a huge victory over Queanbeyan that evoked memories of the halcyon days of 2005-2007, the Reserves can seal a finals spot with a victory over league leaders. However, the Swans have been convincingly beaten by Belconnen in all three meetings thus far, although all have occurred in Canberra where the side's record is notoriously poor.

The promotion of Pyke, Crouch and Moore and doubts over the fitness of DOK, Malceski and Buchanan will most likely result in a weaker side than the one that fronted up 2 weeks ago in Canberra. The loss of Pyke to the seniors will also mean that Orreal will have to shoulder the majority of the ruckwork. In defence, the Swans will have to stop gun Belconnen forward Andrew Ainger, the leading goalkicker in the competition with an average of 4.5 goals per game. Murphy would be the most likely option, although he has been released into the forward line in the past 2 games. Barry should continue his comeback with another stint in the forward line, and will probably have another comeback kid in Laidlaw beside him.

Leo will be hoping for a good showing and no injuries as I'm sure he'll be desperate to play in Micky O's 300th (touch wood) next week. Fringe players such as Schmidt, Laidlaw, Murphy and DOK will be pushing their cases in the hope of making a season debut while Veszpremi, Bevan and Malceski will be hoping to recapture some form in the hope of a recall.

Belconnen, after a slow start to the season, have been in top form as of late and are hot favourites to bring the title back to Canberra. It will be a tough ask for the young Swans to beat them, although who knows, we may see two upsets over the respective ladder leaders on Saturday.

Thanks Ugg, these updates before the game have been fantastic to be able to track who has been playing reserves football and might be in line for senor promotion.

Awesome pre-match taster ugg! I enjoy this stuff more so than our other threads on the 1's sometimes - please keep up the awesome work here as there are a lot of supporters interested to see where our future lies and keep up-to-date on our young guns. Question: how do we feel our scholarships guys are travelling and what will 2010 hold for them?

Thanks again Ugg, from one ressie fan to another. Take them seriously I say. They are out future!

Scholarship kids are doing well, and the rookies. Keep an eye on May, Botton-Noonan, Gordon (Nipper) and Gilchrist (give you one guess on his soubreque). Works in progress.

Dylan McNeil from The Murray Bushrangers will be playing in the Swans reserves this week.

He didn't play as the Bushies had a game on the weekend.Don't believe everything you read.

Any chance botton-Noonan or Gordon to get on the senior list?
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

                  My humble opinions:

Gordon - almost certain for a place in the side, but more likely to be rookie listed
                  Bottin-Noonan - highly unlikely.

McNeil picked in the centre for the Bushrangers this weekend but there is a bye next weekend. Are you sure he's playing?

                          no Monty or eski

very disappointing scoreline. Swans dominated early kicked the first goal but from then on didn't capitalize with some poor entries into the forward fifty as well as missing easy shots through Bevan Laidlaw and DOK (complete with expletive)

leo's looking good down back taken one trademark mark already. Murphy huffing and puffing up forward without much output. Laidlaws looked the most potent. He kicked the hard set shot and missed the easy one. Bevan in the mix through the midfield
