    Round 19 - Richmond

I think Sunday's match at the MCG will probably be the only real chance we have to win in Melbourne this year. It's a big game for us, because Michael O'Loughlin becomes the first Swan ever to crack the 300 game milestone.

Richmond are another team we've had the wood on in recent times, winning 8 of our last ten encounters, including the last 6 in a row. Even so, victory this week is far from a sure thing.

However, given the significance of the occasion, I think we'll get across the line. Swans by 16.

I am surprised to see the bookies have Richmond as favourites. Swan by 18.

OTC rated Richmond's win albeit exciting to watch as not having much Tiger about it at all.
The Swans would surely have to highly motivated for this one, and they will be, Bloods to win by 60 plus.

Cousins's 250th this weekend, unless I read the world wrong this morning. Don't know if the Tigers will lift for him in the way they would for Richo though. Here's hoping we don't celebrate like the Kangaroos and kick nine behinds in the last quarter - what the hell Kanga?.

          Sydney by 3 goals.

I can't remember when we last won an away game. Against all logic I tipped the boys to win it for Mickey.

Surely, surely we will win this week for micky! I think I have to go back to round 16 last year against carlton (correct me if im wrong) before I saw a win in melbourne. This week is the one and only hope for a win here this year, barring an absolute miracle against coll in round 21!

Swans are great at mucking up these sorts of games. Regardless I'll say Swans by a couple of goals.

I wouldn't say that. I remember another of the swans favourite sons, Paul Kelly, playing his 200th game against the West Coast Eagles at the SCG, remember what the margin was in that game????
The boys will definately lift for this game, I expect Goodsey to run riot, and the bloods to win by well over 10 goals.

If not for the O'Loughlin factor I would have tipped the Tigers (not that that worked too well for the Kirkster in his milestone game). Apart from their game against Melbourne which they were lucky to win their form has been pretty solid. Our away form has been s house. Love to see Micky have a huge game ably supported by big man Jesse.

Swans to win by 12, though I won't be offering any androgynous threats on the outcome of this one.

Lifted from the Swans' newsletter -

The Swans have won their past six matches against Richmond.

The last time the Swans lost to the Tigers at the MCG was in 2005, by one point. Prior to this it was in 1999, by twelve points.

The average winning margin for the Swans from their past six matches against the Tigers is by 58 points.

Richmond?s greatest losing margin in 2008 was by 82 points which came in their round 10 clash against the Swans.

The Swans and the Tigers have drawn once in their 180 game history.
