Umpiring to watch off the ball NOW BBB has gone!

Don't know about you, but this makes me spit! Now that BB isn't in the picture the umps are being instructed to take a stronger stance against off the ball abuse. It took abuse of Browny to make them finally sit up and notice. I am furious about what has gone on, kind of relieved they are taking the problem seriously at last, but out of my mind angry they waited until Barry had to leave the game before considering some form of protection. Bastards!

If they had paid attention on Saturday night they would have pinged Montagne for throwing Jack to the ground (30 metres off the ball) that allowed him to go free to kick the winning point!

The maggot got a HUGE spray from me for that one.
      I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo angry.
It was at that point I decided that the maggots were on the St Kilda payroll.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

So what will the AFL do next to deliberately screw over the Swans?

I agree with you, but I don't think that they waited until Barry left. It's really infuriating that the powers to be didn't act appropriately in regards to the complaints made by Roosy regarding Barry's treatment. The same powers to be also treated Plugger and Rodney Eade with the same disrespect.

Unfortunately, because Sydney is not part of the heartland their pleas get ignored in many aspects. This is evident when any of the Melbourne based clubs squawk. I am surprised that in this case, a complaint by Brisbane, that they have acted. Is this to appease with the introduction of Gold Coast?

Agree with the OP. When I heard this I nearly drove the car off the road!! Someone, surely, who is in a position needs to ask why, despite being repeatedly alerted to this by Paul Roos over at least 5 seasons, has it become an issue worth scrutiny just weeks after Barry Hall announces his retirement. Barry Hall deserves a medal for not going into the umpiring hierarchy's office and and smashing some heads.

It was that late into it!!!! I was thinking it by half time.

This is @@@@ing ridiculous. The umpires can't even get the on-the-ball stuff right.

He did that to Staker instead.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

                    The AFL can:
                    A. Listen to Roos' whingeing about not being able to bottom out?
                    B. Wonder how much value there is in the extra $800k the Swans get in their salary cap.

Hi Kanga, welcome to our forum. Question. Do you know why the Swans get extra money in their salary cap?

                        A. The Swans won't bottom out - they haven't even missed the 8 yet.

                        B. Ask Eddie. Since he changed his tune seems the rest of the footballing world has followed suit...except you of course.

I too am infuriated with this decision.

Q: Would Barry Hall still be playing for the swans if this rule was implemented 3 mths ago?

                            A: Definitely.

                            Makes me very angry.

They are probably spending more time wondering about the value of the money they pump into North Melbourne only for them to continually flounder.
