A question for all Sydney based fans...

Hi all, got a question here I'm hoping someone can answer. A friend of mine named Michael, has moved up to Sydney from Melbourne and has been living in Sydney(Glebe) for around 4 years now. He's a passionate Collingwood supporter(mongrel) and he obviously is very annoyed at the limited AFL coverage up there, especially with Friday and Saturday nights.

Now I know that they start the games up there at around 11:00pm to 11:30pm and they finish around 2:00am. he simply cant stay awake, he does record the games and watches them the next day, but with 2 toddlers to look after for most of the day, he doesn't get around to it until early evening the next day and finds it tough to keep a media blackout until this time. He wants to know if there are any pubs or Bars anywhere in Sydney that he can go to to watch the games live, or even on delay, just not an 11:30pm start. He knows I come onto this forum and asked me to ask you guys if you know of any. Many thanks. John.

If he has Foxtel he can watch the games live at 7.30pm on Main Event Channel 518 - right after the Sydney AFL match of the round at 6.30pm.

Someone else may be able to confirm but I'm sure the Alexandria Hotel, which is a footy pub, would screen live matches. As would Club Swans in Kings Cross.

Collingwood supporter eh? Personally I'd disregard everything t hat BeeEmmAre has just told you. I'd recommend the Midnight Shift on Oxford Street. On Friday nights they offer free drinks to Collingwood supporters attired in diaphonous singlet tops and tight black leather shorts with a bright gold length of cloth protruding from their belt.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

        I'm a Collingwood supporter.

I haven't been but the Sydney Magpies organise to watch games together at the Camelia Grove pub on Henderson Rd Alexandria.

You're lucky we don't hold that against you Ruda.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
