Hope I'm wrong but, it looks like lip service for the "play the young guys" mantra.

We go through this every week

Outside of the 25 named, who would you consider as young and not getting a game?

Agreed. Some punters won't be happy until Roosy names a couple of rising stars from the Manly Bombers Under 14s....

Some say that teams "getting up" for milestone games is a load of crap, but if there were any truth to it, this group of blokes surely won't lose...

I think Bevan is going to have to displace either Smith or Crouch to get a game. Pyke for Bevan. See what happens with MOD.

No Barry - was hoping they'd just stick him in for this game....just for the hell of it.

In your zeal for high ground you've missed my point. Which was an observation, that the in's list looks like lot of youngsters getting a game, but the reality is only one will, and that could easily be Bevo. Hopefully not.
I'd like to see Ablett and Crouch making way for MOD and Thornton, and Vespa in
                  for Bird.

Can't believe the Tiges are favorites for this game....am I missing something?

Cotchin out, no richo. Richmond r screwed. They struggled against Melbourne (worse than us), and we should have (wasn't for bad umpiring) beaten St Kilda. Plus its Micky O's 300th game so u expect a big one from him.

The only thing is the Swans away record stands at 0-7 this season...other than that all signs point to yes.

Its actually 1-8 if you include the Canberra games

Of those that are not injured or returning from injury, they have given game time to White, Barlow, Bird, Hannaberry, Thornton, Smith, Jack, Vespa and to a lesser extent Brabazon all in the last 8 weeks.

All this while at least maintaining a core group to keep some sort of consistent team form.

If they drop off Bird and maybe one of Ablett or Crouch for Vespa and MOD/Thornton then the match committee can maintain that they have kept to their word in playing what youngsters we have available at present. There is no need to play all the youngesters at once, especially if some are only getting a game for development.

Facts are, if Schmidt, Laidlaw, Merideth, DOK, Johnston, Currie and Murphy were all injury free then you could reasonably epext these guys to be getting some game time as well but they are not.
