    Head of the Class

    Article about Hannebery.

Head of the class | The Daily Telegraph

"It's tough doing what he's doing and we've told him to make school a priority but he's been such a quick learner," Roos said. "In the first quarter in (his first game) the seconds he was all at sea, but he worked it out quickly and came out in the second half a completely different player.

"Whatever game time he gets in the next month will only fast-track his development.

    "He's a real thinker."

Co-captain Craig Bolton said Hannebery had tremendous self-belief for a player so young.

"He's not too awe-struck which can hamper players at his stage, he's been great," Bolton said.

Very impressive young fella, and already a more than useful player. We can look to the future eagerly. Really pleased we got him.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Please confirm someone, but wasn't it Stuey who spotted Hanners? If so, Big Stuey!

Not really....Roos saw him playing under 14s (he was there to watch someone else...a nephew??) and he noted the name then - apparently.

Regardless who found him, he's certainly played good footy and is bound to get better and hopefully play an important role next year.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore
